Pre-Conference Workshop – Thursday, October 8

PLEASE NOTE: The Pre-Conference Workshop is open to Directors, Administrators and Faculty only.

Sessions will be offered with some pre-recorded content and then with live discussions held via Zoom. Our goal in this workshop is to offer panels filled with practical insights on questions of importance to the health of our member programs.  We also try to build in plenty of time for discussion and networking among directors so that we can effectively support each other.

The Pre-Conference Workshop theme was  The New Normal,  which included these exciting sessions:

  • Course delivery: Scrutinizing what we have learned in moving GLS classes online.

  • Social change: Positioning GLS programs as forums and catalysts for diversity, equity, inclusion, and in the broadest sense, social change.

  • New opportunities: Capitalizing on new opportunities to enhance GLS programs' visibility and reputation on campus.

  • Financial considerations: Surviving and thriving amid economic hardship.
