The AGLSP board and the Editorial Board of Confluence are pleased to announce the 2023 Confluence Writing Award winners!
The Frederick Luis Aldama Excellence in Creative Writing Award winner is Hana Elysia from San Diego State University for her paper, “The Fifth Incident.”
The Excellence in Interdisciplinary Writing Award winner is Kelly Harrison from Stanford University for her paper "Colonial Astronomers and the Transit of Venus: An Exemplar of American Enlightened Thinking,”
The winners will each receive $500 and be recognized at the annual conference in San Diego in October. Their award-winning submissions will be published in the Fall 2023 issue of Confluence. Congratulations to both writers for their excellent work!
