2018 Confluence Student Writing Award Nominations Deadline August 1, 2018
The Confluence writing awards celebrate excellence in creative and interdisciplinary writing by graduate students and recent alumnae/i of AGLSP member programs. Manuscripts can be nominated for either of two categories: Excellence in Interdisciplinary Writing and Excellence in Creative Writing. One winner will be selected from each category, and the winners will receive a prize of $500 with an invitation to attend the 2018 Annual Conference in Tempe, Arizona. Additionally, both winning manuscripts will be published in the Fall 2018 issue of Confluence.
Full details and guidelines for nominations can be found on the AGLSP website, and the recent award-winning manuscripts can be read on the Confluence journal website. We highly encourage our Institutional members to take advantage of this excellent opportunity to highlight the best work of a current student or recent graduate (up to one year post graduation). Letters of nominations should be sent to Editor@confluence-aglsp.org and should include the following:
- Name of student and status (current student, alum)
- Name of program and institution
- Name of nominating individual
- An electronic file of the nominated manuscript, attached as a Word document
