There are four categories of membership in AGLSP: Associate, Full, Affiliate, and Fellow. Associate and Full memberships are open to institutions only. Affiliate and Fellow memberships are intended for individuals and organizations.
Membership Information

Associate Membership
Associate membership is open to all interested institutions and is preliminary to full membership. Associate members are usually in the early phases of a GLS program: either they have recently established one or their institutions are committeed to creating one. Institutions maintain associate membership for at least one year before being eligible for full membership.

Full Membership
Full membership is open to institutions of higher learning with a GLS program in operation, and that have been an Associate member for at least one year, and have attended at least one annual meeting. To qualify for full membership, institutions must meet a number of criteria and host a site review by a full member representative.

Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership is available to organizations and individuals with a professional interest in the purposes and goals of AGLSP. Affiliates are non-voting members and receive all asociate publications and mailings. They are invited to attend annual meetings.

Fellow Membership
Fellows are honorary, non-voting members. The title of fellow is extended to persons who have provided substantial service to AGLSP.
