The AGLSP bestows two awards to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to Graduate Liberal Studies: the National Faculty Award and the Outstanding Contribution Award.
National Faculty Award
The National Faculty Award was established in 1991 to recognize outstanding faculty in a full-member institution, who exemplifies the qualities of interdisciplinary, liberal learning, and who has participated significantly in teaching, mentoring, and/or advising students, or actively participated in other service in a GLS program. This award is bestowed annually and accepts nominations from the membership.

| Outstanding Contribution Award The Outstanding Contribution Award, established in 2005, is designed to recognize an outstanding faculty member, program director, or administrator from a full-member institution who has established an extraordinary record of long-term leadership, advocacy, and commitment to graduate liberal studies. The award celebrates a lifetime record of achievement that has significantly advanced the mission of interdisciplinary graduate education regionally, nationally, or internationally. This is an honor bestowed by the Board. |
