The AGLSP bestows two awards to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to Graduate Liberal Studies: the National Faculty Award and the Outstanding Contribution Award.

National Faculty Award
The National Faculty Award was established in 1991 to recognize outstanding faculty in a full-member institution, who exemplifies the qualities of interdisciplinary, liberal learning, and who has participated significantly in teaching, mentoring, and/or advising students, or actively participated in other service in a GLS program. This award is bestowed annually and accepts nominations from the membership.

Outstanding Contribution Award
The Outstanding Contribution Award, established in 2005, is designed to recognize an outstanding faculty member, program director, or administrator from a full-member institution who has established an extraordinary record of long-term leadership, advocacy, and commitment to graduate liberal studies. The award celebrates a lifetime record of achievement that has significantly advanced the mission of interdisciplinary graduate education regionally, nationally, or internationally. This is an honor bestowed by the Board.
